Bung Hole Locations?

Hi,

After searching throught he forums for a post regarding all the bung holes, all I could find was that Chippy says bung A LOT!!! :shock: lol

Just Drove down from Weipa to Cairns and the inside of the prado is completely covered in dust to the point where the rear seat belts are dusty when you pull them out. I have read throught the A/C Filter topic and plan to do that very soon (I'm back in Weipa atm so hopefully will check next weekend).

Does anyone know where all the bung holes are around the Prado so I can check if they are all in?

Hi Toddy,
The problem Bung Hole I found ages ago was the rubber grommets not located correctly located at the base of the Jack compartment, the Toyota towbar fitters who ran the wiring ommited to relocate the rubber grommets. I also note that my rear door seal leaks a tad when traveling on our lovely corrugations. I always use recirc on the AC when encounting an on-coming vehicle and then go back to the fresh air intake setting after their dust has settled a bit to get a positive air pressure in the cab, but I have noticed that when the vent dampers change over to fresh I get a bit of dust entering the cab, it goes straight through the AC filter.

Clifton, thanks for replying.

I don't know why really but I have always used recirc all the time as I figure I don't want any dusty air in the cab. I didn't realise that the fresh air option pressurised the cab that much?

I have a toyota tow bar so i will check the wiring grommets to see if they are in aswell. My rear door has a fine coating of dust when I open it after an off road trip so yeah it gets in ever so slightly...

Bugger about the dust. From under the vehicle check under the drivers seat. I had one dislodge from there at less than 8 months old. Depending on how old your car is you should be able to identify most if not all of them if there isn't too much dirt/mud/grime build up.
