  • Paintless Dent Repair

I had a dent about the size of a tennis ball in the roof of the Prado ( it's actually a mystery to me how it got there )
So I thought I'd try one of those paintless dent repair guys.
I must say I am impressed. He could not get access from underneath ( there was a roof rail right beneath the dent ) so he used a "glue pulling system" which pulls the dent out from the exterior. This apparently does not always yield as good a result, but I can't tell there was even a dent there.
Cost was $200 but he was here for 2 hours - smaller dents would be less.
I heard there are some dodgy operators in the business but this guy was very professional.
    Cheers, Wayne

Good to learn about this ozwapet2.

I have two small dents, also on the roof. One I know about it's origin, the other is a complete mystery. Too small for the casual observer to notice, but I do. I'll remember this thread for the day I decide to do something about it.

    Cheers,
    LFaR.

      Re: Paintless Dent Repair

There is a company in Cardiff NSW who specialise in this as well and they are very good to the point of awesomeness at the job. They charge about $80 -$300 depending on size. But funny this thread should arise now; 2 days ago a work colleague bought a new Holden,(yes I know why bother if theres no Toyota badge involved), and some careless fitter putting on accessories dented the door!!! No worries says The dealer we'll get a fellow in who does paintless dent removal to fix it quickly and cheaply  .................. needless to say he no longer has a dent in the door ............ it is now a bump, they pulled it out too far and stretched the door skin!!! Needless to Say not happy Jan :x BEWARE of amateurs you get what you pay for...........

      My 1.5cents
