  • Extra Noise After Clutch Replacement

I've just had my clutch replaced and have noticed the the vehicle seems a bit noisier when driving at any speed. It sounds like extra road noise but I guess it would more likely be drive train noise. Not real mechanically minded here, so I'm asking what could be causing the added noise? It's not huge but it is definitely noisier.

Also is there any need to get a wheel alignment after the clutch replacement? From what I can gather the cross member would have been removed and I'm not sure what effect this has on wheel alignment.

clutch will not affect your wheel alignment at all.

it has been shown that a gearbox without oil will last about 20kms before a total ...... happens,
so i'm guessing you have done more than that driving home, so you gearbox has oil.
i'm thinking possibly they could have used a lighter grade (thinner) grade of oil.
this will have a slight increase on drivetrain noise.

this will not cause any big drama's other than noise. gear shifting will be easier

could there be a rubber boot suppressing noise and dust at bottom of gear stick that may have not been fitted correctly ?
