prado 120 gap arb bar and fender

well, I put a topic on the 4WD monthy about my bad fitting ARB bar went to ARB today to get some help from the tech and the manger /rep tells me thats the way they are , 20mm gap one side 30mm the other some, Over last couple of months I checked out a lot of prado with the same bars and some are much better fitted than mine so went to ARB to talk to some body who fits them may be theres some thing they do that others dont told me about the body movement etc ,etc ,etc, still after a talk told him was not happy with the gap and that it was the worst $1800 I spent he just walked away not even a lets see if we can look at it, cant stand the sight of the car on one side it looks like SH#%^$T so can any one help if this is the way that ARB looks after its furture sales well all I can say is I will drive past next time , i went to ARB for some help and got the I GOT YOUR MONEY STIFF SH#$%^T remember people who drive 4wd are normaly in culbs and words get around,
IF any one has any ideas on how to fix this pm me sighed not happy :? :evil: the 4b has not been accident damaged as it was my inlaws and has 30,000km on it as new

Write to head office? Obviously they r a sh!t dealer, we don't have that issue in my neck of the woods.

Its simply adjustment when it was fitted if the body is all straight.

It took me about 15 mins to sort mine out so I was happy with the gap both sides.

I did this to mine. Rubber strip from Clarke rubber. Similar to what they use on car doors. Just cut to length and I think there is different sizes.

Plus I drove from Darwin to Melb and return and stopped all the bugs getting in.

@ piggy the body all straight as I said never damaged all ajustment is top out if any thing may have to slot the hole out but dont what to do that just in case they wish to have a look ,
talked to a couple that have the same bar on a 08 model had a 2inch lift all the goodys they have been every where theres sit close to the body and no fender damage and looks good so Im a bit stumped will try to send a email off but i know ill get the brush off --andy

If you intend to do any off roading you will need a 20mm gap all round.

Drop the bash plates and you will see the bar is two parts; the part that bolts to the chassis and the bar itself. They are attached to each other by a set of bolts through slotted holes, plus two that aren't sloted (this one was drilled after fitting by ARB and is to lock it in place)

Remove the "lock" bolt, then adjust the bar on the slotted holes until your happy. Redrill the lock bolt in a different spot and your done....

can you please post up a couple pics showing it from front looking at where lights meet grille with bonnet up and down plus one looking up past wheel at the end of the rubber strip

what did you use to glue or fix it into place? thanks

I am currently working remote and won't be home until mid to late jan 2012. The following link has some more photos of my vehicle. On the second page there are photos for the winch (bonnet open). The strip just presses on.
