  • Some fool ran into me today.

    AGHHHH!!

First day back at work after a 1 month break. Boss rings me last night, and I have to go into the city (Sydney) for a meeting first thing.
Got back to the car and some moron has backed into me. I think to myself, welcome back to work.... that looks like like it will cost about $300.00 to fix. I got a repair quote at lunch time which comes in at just over $1200.00 to replace one bit of tupperware, and touch up paint the other bit of bloody tupperware!

I really dislike people that don't leave thier details when they damage your car.
I am seriously thinking about a Kaymar rear end now. ARB just quoted me $3345.00 supply only for the dual wheel jobby. They are very $$XXXY aren't they.

    Anyway.... rant over for now.

Obviously no note left? I can't believe some people, it happens all to often though.

I take it there were no security cameras in the car parks like they have in shopping centres. Put a little ad in the paper, like near letters to the editor asking for any witnesses, you never know. If I saw someone back into another car, I'd be too scared to pull them up at the time, but happy to give details to police.

Yes there was security cameras all over the place..... those little black dome things. I went to the pay station and asked to see the footage but they refused. When I pushed the point, a security guard took over. He went up a few floors with me, to have a look at the area, and he took the number of the camera. He didn't let me look at the footage though. When he came out of the office, he just told me that my car was in a blind spot, and that there was no footage of the incident. I spoke to my friend who is a solicitor. She has told me to send a letter of demand to the parking station company, for the footage, or a letter identifying the culprit. $500.00 insurance excess for me I think, otherwise this will turn into a huge saga, which I could really do without.

              Oh true
Well there's a plus side to being over 25, the cheaper insurance excess. Mine is about $1200
