Bolt size for Factory Side steps

hey Guys,

I need some help - I have removed my factory side steps because they are bent up all over the place. They still did the job but looked ugly.

Im going on a long trip next month and want to put them back on - but i have lost all the 12 bolts which attach them direct to the body.

I swear i put them in a plastic bag and tied them to the steps when i removed them - but cant find them.

Does anyone know the bolt size/pattern so that i can buy some new ones to refit my steps?

ANy help is appreciated.

i reckon a m8 x 25mm metric would get you out of trouble. cheers samo

When I took mine off I put the bolts back in the holes, I'm not sure but it's possible they leave an opening into the cab.

I didnt think about that. I've done a couple of water crossing since without any issues

They are going back on this w/e anyways so lets hope there are no further issues

Are you sure about that. I had rocksliders fitted but never checked on that. I hope I can find my bolts.

No, I'm not sure ( which I clearly said in my original post ) :wink:
I put the bolts back so I didn't lose them, but I did wonder after if those holes went all the way through.
Maybe you can check it out for us by poking a bit of wire up there, see how far it goes.

They certainly are "All-the-way-through" holes....
