Hi All,
Long time since I've been on here. Wondering if anyone has issues with peeling clear coat. I know this is caused by sun damage, and there's really nothing you can do about it if you have to park out in the sun. All you can really do is park in the shade as much as possible. As far as I can tell, this isn't unusual for older vehicles that have had to be parked in the sun over extended periods in their life. Roof and bonnet damage is pretty stock standard from what I've been told.
Recently - I got a quote of around $2000.00 to fix this at a panel and paint business close to me. I admit - that's about what I was thinking. Thought I'd throw it out to Pradopointers though to see if anyone had recently gone through something similar and what it had cost them and who they'd gone through. I must say, I rang several extremely disinterested panel and paint places before I got hold of anyone willing to deal with me.
