Being convinced by others on the forum that a bonnet scoop was a good idea I set about a little project. I wanted a more factory bonnet appearance than the Hilux scoop could provide. So....
First, find one bonnet with pressed metal scoop - Toyota RAV4 factory original was easy to come by on the fleabay very cheap as it turns out. Second, get a mate (thanks to Chris C for all the hours of mucking about) to undertake a transplant from the RAV4 bonnet and insert the graft into the Prado bonnet. Then get the guys at Norwood Panel Works ( I don't work for them or anything) to finish off paint and flush etc. What you get is a top job as the photos below will demonstrate. What will be interesting is what difference if any it makes from a performance point of view. Anyway I like it
Cheers
