Bonnet Problem

I have a 120 & cannot open the bonnet.I have had it 3 months & it is still under new car warranty.
Surprise surprise.Went to my local dealer & he said looks like its been in an accident so theres no warranty.
Anybody had this prob or has anyone got any ideas how to fix this .I cannot see anywhere to adjust this cable when I can get the bonnet open.Thanks Bill
PS Sorry that does not read quite right.It is a 2008 Prado but I have bought it second hand.The vehicle is still under new car warranty though.

And you are going to stand for that. They have to prove that...But how did they come to that conlusion? miss match paint etc etc.

I want to go down to my local Toyota dealer and kick their ass after what you have said. If i were you, i would dig my heals in and ask them how they came to that conclusion and what evidence they have. And even if it has been in an acident, how does that affect factory warranty?

He said he can see the over spray of the pant & the front end of the bonnet does not line up correctly.This is true but all the main part of the bonnett ( ie. the two sides line up perfectly)I have not finished with them yet so keep watching.

But they sold you a car with a warranty? Then they have to live up to that warranty and make good - their problem not yours.

You have not stated if the local dearler is the place that you purchased the Prado.
If it was then they should look after you with anything warranty related like your problem.

Hi all, Thanks for all the people who showed interest.
The end result was that I took the car back to the wholesaler from where I purchased it. He has fixed the whole problem.A small firm in Midland WA called CREEK WHOLESALE for any one thats interested in WA.
His panel beater also inspected the Prado & assures me that it has never been in a prang.I have seen the manager at the Toyota Dealer cincerned & he has had words with the young fellow to try & avoid this happening again
