What's the cold stopping power like? I do lot's of hwy klms and need good cold, from 100km/h to stop, breaking.

Yea I haven't had any dramas with them, most of k's are hwy now and they feel pretty bloody confident. Had to do a couple solid slow downs from 100k to avoid skippys

Easy for DIY fitment aswel D4D, just tie your callipers up with some tie wire or fishing line if your cleaning your hubs etc, stops the abs lines being stretched and damaged.

Whats everyones opinion on a softer brake pad compared to a hard pad. Are they worth it.

Personally think they do grip better at the start BUT I have run cheaper soft pads before (not in my prado) and the brake dust was a nightmare and they did fade quicker, this was just my experience...I always since have used bendix both in my prados and my other vehicles, minimal brake dust.....Cheers Steve

Cheers mate. I think I will run the hard compound. Ill swap to soft for my 4x4 trips.
