  • clicking in reverse

Just got a 2006 Turbo diesel GXL auto and I notice that when I reverse and put the brakes on rather than ease them on theres a click that comes from the front end..is this normal?

Also where the F#@* do you mount a CB radio without going ops: to the expense of a console..or is a 5 watt handheld just as good

The front pads are held in with pins and when you change direction and tap the brakes they move on the pins. Normally only once per direction change. As in going forwards they get pulled up inside the caliper and then if you go backwards they get pulled downwards and the click is the pads moving on the pins. It is normal for most multi-piston brake calipers to do this.
