BF BF Sound in When pressing brake Pedal !

I hear a sound like an air pump (Bss Bss Bss) When pressing my brake pedal while the car is idle !

I started noticing it when I had done 15K only , Toyota Wiz Kidz Told me it is normal , I wasn't convinced , I ordered a full brake effeciency test + Inspection of the booster

(I think The brake is lousy as it is so I didn't want to risk a failure on top of that) :?

At the 20K service I brought the subject again being very adamant this time for a more proper tests , the guys took me to the new car yard , Started a 0KM 2007 Grande and Showed me that it makes the same sound but with slighter intensity :shock: ,

I still wasn't convinced so they did the tests and found everything OK !!

Had any one of you guys had this air-pump sound effect before

Yep - same noise.

Brakes seem to work fine - well, at least the car stops when I want it to.

It doesn't seem to be an issue - but it's on my list of things to chat to the service manager about - yeah, wish me luck. :?

Let me know if you got any explination from toyota about this aside from the usual it is Normal

I started to make funny sounds with my postings these days :

1- Chk Chk while engine is idling (see the engine petrol section)
2- Bff Bff while braking (This one)

What's Next .. Toooot tooot while looking at birds while cruising :twisted:

Toot toot is the sound the original Toyota horns make when someone pulls out in front of you :lol: :lol: :lol:

I think you will find you are simply hearing the vacum in the master cylinder to check turn vehicle off and pump pedal you should hear the noise for a couple of umps and then the pedal will get hard and noise will go away whenvacume assist is dry. retsart the car and system should repressurise
