sounds like warped brake discs, take it to a local mechanic to get the discs machined, should cost about $40ish per disc to get it done, thats if they can be skimmed withot going under the minimum thickness, should cost a cost a couple of hours labour as well
had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.

        Re: Brakes Pulsating!!!

Just got my brakes fixed this week. Had that problem (pulsating brakes during light/medium braking), plus steering wheel vibration during hard braking, for a few months and was a bit in denial that my aftermarket slotted and drilled rotors were the culprits. I first thought that maybe bedding-in the new pads would solve the problem.

Nope, that didn't do the trick.

Having the stock front rotors machined fixed the problem.

            Re: Brakes Pulsating!!!

If your a DIY'er check the following specs for discs

Front discs, min thickness 26mm, max runout 0.05mm.
Rear discs, min thicknes 16mm, max runout 0.2mm

Check the runouts if you have a dial indicator or get someone that does.
            Hope these figures help
