Noise in revere when turning or idling forward

Hey guys,

got a new noise coming from the rear when turning in reverse or idling up the driveway...

Sounds like diff and noise isn't grinding but sounds like a tick like something building up and releasing...

Any ideas??

Tick could be uni joint bearings on the way out? Is it constant or just on the take up?

Not constant... Seems like it winds up to it... With any speed I can't hear it - but by then their are other road noises, engine and wind etc...
