  • What type of clutch for 1kz?

Hey guys clutch has started slipping badly. What clutch kit do you all recommend for a 2004 1kz?

from researching it looks like the exedy's are a good bit of gear, what do you all think of this pricing? I sent these guys a message and they offered $575 cash price including postage. Seems pretty good.

Ive dont a clutch in a hilux before so will be giving this a go myself, shouldn't be too hard. Is there a DIY post on this that I haven't seen?

Genuine, Exedy, or ci are all ok.
The thrust bearing commonly makes noises.
They are all a nsk bearing, so that's good, even if it is noisy.
I noticed in the ad it has a koyo, that's good might be better?
I believe it's the dust that get in the holes in the bell housing dries it up a bit & can cause noises.

        Have fun fitting it.
