3.909:1. 3.727:1 is for the petrols.... well according to that thread anyway

Just rang Toyota, they reckon 4.1.....fail! waste of time.

Anywhere I read it's either 3.9 or 3.73 surely someone must know for sure (the thread above mentions 1KD Europe, wonder if that's the same here)

Ok confirmed:

1KD 6sp Manual/5sp Auto is 3.9
6sp Manual/Sp Auto V6 is 3.73

Earlier models are 4.1 etc

Yep, looks like 4.1 for the 1KZ.

You can tell what it is by the compliance plate in engine bay, google it and it will tell you how to read the trans/ axle codes

compliance plate is the best way to go. I got a diff today that was a 3.9 out of a auto diesel 08 so I wouldn't rely on what there "supposed to be", or jack up 1 wheel to know for sure.

Yup Auto Diesel is 07-09 is supposed to be 3.9 but will double check

What's the ratio of a rear diff from a 1kz 120 2004 manual diesel prado?

Prado 120 dif ratios

Hi All,
Im about to order my E-lockers and need to know the front diff ratio? Aparently there are two??? Can anyone shed light on this please? SHe is a 2008 base model D4D 6 speed manual.

Can confirm the dif ratio for my 2008, 6 speed, D4D is 3.9. Lockers are now ordered!
