Hi all,
When I back off the throttle while rolling down hill or slowing down for cars ahead etc there is a whining/humming noise that can be heard from underneath the car. It's somewhere in the driveline I'm sure but can't pick exactly where. As soon as I apply even the slightest pressure on the throttle it instantly goes away. It's only loud enough that with the radio on at a comfortable level it's not heard. Although it's one of those noises that when you notice it you can't tune out.
It's a 2007 GXL, petrol, auto. The auto fluid has never been changed. That will be happening before mid year. It's had all other oils serviced regularly and only travelled 88000klms.
It's noticeable mostly at highway speeds. I also hear it when alone so the wife and kids have been crossed off the list
Any ideas?
