HELP! Missing Plate

Hi guys,

Was just under my 120 today and saw that a small metal plate was missing from the transmission. There is an identical plate on the other side which is still there but the one for this side is gone! Its only held on my 2 bolts at the bottom.

Im not sure how long ago it came off but what does this mean for my transmission? being open to all sorts of crap getting in...

Hmmm that doesn't look right at all! Is it a manual box?
