  • wheel bearing?

Have been puzzled by a slight drone and vibration in front end and have finally worked out drivers front wheel bearing is loose.Has anyone fixed/tightened one or is it time for a new bearing.is it a tough job?Ive done the boat trailer a few times ,is it any tougher?

    Hi ,
it is not like doin a trailer wheel bearing!! You will need a press about 15tonne,and a36mm socket and be able to remove the rh hub knucle
to press out bearing" NOT A FUN JOB" to do at home!!
they can't be tigthen sorry.Same for 90ser and 120ser, suggust to take
    to a machecial workshop

thanks peter.Spoke to my workshop today and told me similar story as far as tightening goes, but also said that you cant buy a bearing kit but you have to buy bearing with hub as one unit.does that sound right?seems expensive, also they told me that they have never had a problem with prado{120] before but plenty of pajeros,is my case a rarity or is this more common?thanks again Adam
