I would say the problem is your engine mounts not the transmission. It's a common enough issue, there are a few threads that discuss it if you search for them.

    Cheers Andrew

Agree. Sounds like engine mounts. If you get someone to change gears while you look at the engine, do you notice a movement of the engine?

        Ciao Giacomo,

Being that you're in Winter right now and complaining of the shuder I also agree - check the engine mounts. Cold weather has the engine idle up and exacberbates the issue, your transmission is probably not the issue.

When you cold start the Prado in the morning try and put it into Reverse and hold it there - you will probably find the shudder in Reverse is worse than in Drive!

The 'fix' is to replace both engine mounts but the cost and inconvenience has mean lots of people out up with the issue...
        Cheers
        Micheal.

The engine mounts themselves are not that expensive, the labour on the other hand adds up as its a big job. You can save a lot doing it yourself but its a bugger of a job!

          Cheers Andrew

            Thank you all,
I read several posts, which says that the problem of 90% is due to engine mounts
but could also be the injectors
there is a test to determine whether they have problems ?

Giacomo you can test the injector feedback and total volume with an intelligent tester that plugs into the diagnostic port. Any good mechanic should be able to read these values. There is a sticky in the 120 diesel section that will give you the information you seek. You might need more than one espresso to get through it though!
