Manual diff breather.

Hi all I've read through the diff breathers thread and I have seen a couple of posts with photos of where the manual breather is so I pulled my centre consol out and it doesn't seem to be there I've found a breather hose with a 'y'peice and one of the hoses comes up the top of the gearbox behind the hi-low gear stick would this be the gearbox breather and the other the transfer case one or are they both transfer

It is an 07 deisel. If that helps.

Bruce isn't there a photo by Matt of his manual in one of the breather threads? I seem to remember it was behind the gear stick. Not in the section you have exposed.

I'm not sure where you mean here is the photo of where I'm looking is this the wrong spot should I be forward or backward of this section

Don't know if I'm the matt but if so I have an auto so may be different

I had a feel from underneath and it is there I can feel it, where that first photo says it is but im not able to extend it as it's not threaded or on a hose. Unless I drop the gearbox out and do it that way but that isn't going to happen.

Not Matt funk Matt from the Hunter. From what I remember (this has proven very unreliable lately) the breather is pressed in. Can be removed with the top plate and tapped. I wouldn't bother. Too hard.

Pretty much what I was thinking I'll just stick to the diffs and transfer.
