Hi,

Im installing a trans cooler in my 120, went to toyota today to get some some WS AT Fluid but they only sell it in 4l drums and as such only really need enough to fill up my little cooler. Was just wondering if someone in the perth area has any left over from a recent oil change that i could buy off you ?? I only just had my oil changed 600kms ago so dont really want to change it all again. Or would it not matter to not fill up the cooler?

It's around $70. If it was $20 I'd get it but at that price in like.....

Without knowing your cars situation... have you considered servicing the transmission? Clean/change the filter and replace all the fluid? Personally I use Nulon atf in all my cars including the wife's Benz.

You would need less than 1L and Im sure that your dealer has it in 20L drums for when they do their transmission flush on a machine.

I'd go back with a container and insist/beg them for a litre - moreso if they did your oil change and/or supplied you with the WS oil in the firstplace!

G'day Joel, for curiosity's sake, what did Toyota hit you up for to do the Trans service. Up here in Townsville, they wanted $580 (quoted for drain, refill and new filter) so had it done at Town Automatics for $430 which included a full flush and new filter. Top people to deal with too.
