which gear for driving on icey roads

Hi all, Great forum love all the info especially the DIY MODS, Anyhow to my question ,I will be going to the NSW snowfeilds this year and was wondering when driving thru the NAT park on the icey roads do i put the stuby into HLc or leave it in H ,Also being a first time deisel owner what should i do to winterise the engine and the Prado itself.

The snowfields will request that you are in 4wheel drive to drive on the roads without fitting chains. (They may request chains at some points).
I just use 4 high when I have had to drive on the ice.

Naturally if your planning on going offroad and hitting some tracks 4 low may be needed to suit the conditions.
