Excessive play in reverse

Chardo - Hi All, I have a 2007 120 GXL / 5 sped auto and just travelled down to Perth from Darwin towing a 16 ft pop top van. In the last few weeks I have noticed that when I engage reverse gear I get a free play clunk as it takes up. Quite a clunk especially when warming up. There is nothing on the forward shifts. I read up on the "Clunk /thunk site in another PP site and have greased the rear drive shaft just in case, but no difference. Has anyone else had this problem????? Thanks and cheers Bill.
