I have a November 2005 GXL Diesel Prado 4 speed auto.
When the engine and transmission are cold, the gear changes seem overly jerky. It feels like something is "gripping" when it changes gears.
The problem is better when things have warmed up but I can still feel each gear change.
Is this normal? The bloke at Toyota said it was - something to do with the turbo torque curve he said, which is why you can't feel it in a petrol prado which is what I was comparing it to.
Warranty runs out November 2008 so I want to be sure everything is ok before then!
Thanks for your help.
