I have an 05 auto diesel. Last week I was changing down manually (towing) and the lever got jammed between 2nd & 1st.
When I moved off I found that there was no more detent between D and 3. It's still spring loaded to D but I have to hold it in 3.
I've dismantled the unit and located a steel pin about 20mm long, which I refitted next to the lever. The problem is that the detent is back, but it jams again between 2 and 1.
Does anybody have an exploded diagram of the shift lever assembly? I've searched high and low for any loose parts but haven't found any.
