Drive-Line Clunk after stopping and releasing brakes..

Hi All
I have been reading some of the woes relating to the driveline clunk when pulling up and stopping and the related <unmentionable> service bulletin.

The problem i speak of is the clunk/hesitation once you have stopped and then release the brakes... more related to auto transmissions I suppose... Does anyone know what it is and more importantly how to fix it (if possible). Mine is specifically and 2008 D4D auto...

Exactly the same as the post you have mentioned, it is one of the symptons of the tailshaft clunk.

It binds up and then releases, sometimes upon stopping - somtimes upon release of brakes. Mine did exactly the same.

I wont let another thread start on the same subject as it can be discussed in the already long and existing thread. This one is being locked.

If you feel that this needs to be reopened and has a cause other than the tailshaft clunk, PM a mod for a discussion to take place in the mod forum on the topic and possible reopening.
