Whitey1 it is a PITA but nothing more, no damage done at low speed reversing a caravan in low range which will lock your centre diff and bind the gears.

i use low just to go straight up then shift to hi

I use low to pull our large boat out of our side driveway and all the way to the top of the street. Has never caused a problem in 10 years.Michael and Kelly
