For what it worth I thought I would throw this in to the pot while its hot.

06/ 07 Five Speed Auto Gear ratios for all models are as follows:-
    1st 3.520
    2nd 2.042
    3rd 1.400
    4th 1.000 (direct drive)
    5th 0.716 (Over Drive Auto Lock-up)
    Reverse 3.22

Differential Ratio 3.909 : 1 (D4D Turbo Diesel)?? I believe Different in New Zealand same as for Petrol ??
    3.727 : 1 (Petrol)

    Fazza :P
07 D4D Oil burner Still standard fit-out, including Dunlop AT20s
07 Silver Ash, GXL, D4D, Auto. Lifestyle rear cargo rack. 2500 kg Tow bar with Tekonsha elec brake controller, Rear dust deflector, Mio Sat nav, (Still trying to fault the Dunlop AT20's)

Ok just for interests sake - went for a drive up the freeway and repeatedly went through the gears taking notes.
Accelerating while in top gear would always kick down to between 4th and top and hold steady for a while before going back to top. From start and watching tacho and speedo recorded the following speeds at 2000 rpm.
        1st - 19
        2nd - 35
        3rd - 50
        4th - 74
        ??? - 93
        Top - 111
Do these compare with others and do others kick down from top to something higher than 4th?

          Squeaky

I would suggest that the ???93 is the Auto OD lock up, as it will come & go at different throttle & load situations. May even feel like you have a 10 speed auto??

The D4D prados imported from the Japan market are 4 speed autos not 5 speed autos as here in Nz and Australia
