Hi, a block of wood jumped up whilst 4wd-ing last weekend, and snapped the cable of the transfer case diff lock switch. So I lost my warning light for centre diff lock.

Is the wiring fused to the switch, or is there a way to get it off & renew? Or should I replace the whole switch as an assembly. The 2-wire cable runs for about 30cm from the switch to a plug.
It really hard to get to, hence the question if someone has dealt with it before.
