Tranfer box clunk

Good day.

I have searched the forum but cant seem to find anything on this (might be my own stupidity)
I have this "clunk" on my transfer when pulling away and stopping. If I turn the driveshaft when the vehicle is in park it has a bit of play and gives one clunk then its gone. The sound comes directly from the transfer.

Any ideas what this might be? Could it be the chain?

When stopping does it feel like you've been rear ended by another car (Lightly)? If so check out the posts on "Tailshaft clunk". Common issue where the tailshaft slip joint (Spline) isnt greased enough and it binds and clunks..

Not at all. its not a very loud sound either but does sound concerning and bloody irritating.
