4x4 stick vibration

Hi

When i put my hand on gear shift stick it feels smooth but when i do this on the 4x4 stick i feel a big vibration, that to me doesnt feel natural.It does this stopped and when i drive it gets a little worse.
Is this normal on the prado or is something about to pack up?

Perfectly normal! I think from memory that it is plumbed directly into the box.

both my old 2005 prado and my current 2009 model have both done exactly as you described from new. just assumed it was normal.

Mine does the same... Doesn't bother me any - except when the missus leaves he phone there while driving cos then i get the plastic on plastic rattle!
She very quickly finds the phone in her lap or on the front passenger floor!!!

Yeah, normal, mine has done it from brand new, doesn't do it so much when you actually use it..
Mine is a D4D 2008...

That's funny, if my wife leaves anything against the stick I just have to look at her and she knows to move it as it drives me insane quickly.

The little stick is connected directly to the Gbox and the big one on my auto has a cable setup from memory, so the I'm going bush stick always vibrates.

Yes this is true but the small stick shakes/vibrate more than the big one :P

Now you are getting very personal. I really don't want to know how you gathered your evidence as to how big sticks differ from little sticks when they shake about!

Remember, its not a matter of the size of the stick rather how its used in a practical sense.
