I have a 150 D4D 2012 GXL Auto.

I know this thread is under the 120 series electrica; topic, but do you know if the Scanguage can now indicate the auto transmission fluid temp on the 150 D4d as well?

Not sure but if you look here http://scangauge.com.au/?page_id=338
It seems to suggest 150 support under the ATF Temp A section. I suggest you speak to Ample Outdoors though to confirm

I have a 2010 150 D4D GXL Auto and the ScangaugeII works fine showing ATF. Not sure where the sensor is but it may scare you when you see the temps it shows.

Hi crusa, I have the ATF temps on my 2006 D4D scan gauge and the average readings while towing my 2 3 tonne caravan are in the range of 80-120 degrees c. If temp start to climb on a long incline I pop the auto (5 speed) across to 4th and temps drop immediately below 100 c. It was a bitch of a thing to program in but eventually I got there.
I had the auto serviced and flushed in brisbane before we headed north and the advice I was given was if you can keep temps under 130 c then no need for an oil cooler.
I also have the egt ( thanks the roo) so keep an eye on both. Egg rarely gets over 400 c and when cruising sits between 360-420 c

Has anybody purchased an odb bluetooth dongle and used something like Torque or others on their android phone, total cost about $30 - 40 and seems to do all what the scanguage does including the error code capture and reset plus uses dials and guages to show values??

You should have programmed it for the chicken, then you will get the egg feature.

Tut tut tazdevil, my spelling mistake as bloody silly iphone changes spelling to what the apple yanks think so should be EGT exhaust gas temperature and you need to fit the probe yourself as not a Toyota system tool

Purchased Scanguage II this week from Ample Outdoors.
Easy install - plug and play.
Simple enough procedure to program in Transmission Fluid Temp thanks to posts supplying codes in this thread.

Wooders garage (www.wooders.com.au) sells them but may be out of stock also.
I would suggest you ring to check stock levels before ordering online, as I had to wait 3 weeks for mine, and only found out by ringing that he was waiting on fresh stocks, after ordering online and not getting it within 7 days.
