Quick update, I ran a direct 6mm wire from the battery to the ballast and the same thing happened, so I am now certain it is a faulty ballast or capacitor. I haven't contacted them as yet about the latest test, but so far they have been very helpful and respond very quickly to my emails on ebay. Hopefully I can get this resolved.Comment

The only thing is they say there a plug and play but I had to cut off the ends of the wires in the light and add on 2 terminals. Took about 60 seconds, but as you say and I agree, the fact that they are completly installed in the light with nothing outside is good.
I have been a little naughty though (SWMBO hasn't seen yet) as have just brought a Predator iX High Boost XGD for in between the other 2. If its a good as he reckons (the sales rep) will proberbly get 2 more.

I have just ordered my kit, I went the 55w 6000k internal kit, don't quote me but I was told that 55w 6000k are the brightest but 100w 6000k are more blue. We have a work car with the 55w 6000k R4000's and they are amazing. I also went for the small round ballast that fits into the light housing, just to minimize external wiring.Comment

Well i received mine the other day and got them installed. As ondaboat suggested they are plug and play except for a couple of terminals that had to be crimped on, but with the right tools, a 2 minute job. A huge difference compared to the original lamps. The only negative is that they do take 10 seconds or so to fully light up the first time you switch them on but as long as you switch them back on again within a minute or so you dont have to wait for the warm up again.
