Not a good idea to drain your battery lower than about 60% discharge
on a regular basis as it will greatly reduce the life of the battery.

Doesn't that go against the logic of a Deep Cycle battery? The purpose of these I thought was to be able to drain them almost entirely if necessary. Lead acid starting battery, on the other hand, is something you definitely don't want to drain or you'll kill it.
