    Well done Rob
I will go and get one now

Who did you speak to? And you did a much better job than me to get a deal without minimum buyers

I might actually get one for $160 if that's the price people have paid here

Just spoke to the owner. Mentioned a degree of interest by fellow Prado owners, chewed the fat and he said well "I give the Landcruiser club a discount so I will give it to the PP club. Ok deal done

Finally got around to fitting my enginesaver today and as I already had an accessory power take off in the cabin I hooked it up to that. This was a big mistake as the alarm on startup buzzes twice now instead of once as you turn the key
Where did you guys tap into an ignition source under the dash?
          Cheers....Wayne

OK, read the compressor install post and found the blue/yellow cable going into the fuse box and tapped into that. The alarm still goes on when waiting for the glow plug light to extinguish then when you turn the key to start it momentarily goes off then on again for a few seconds, just like before. Is this what others have found?
            Cheers.....wayne

I believe MLC meant to say was that Lea spoke to the owner and fluttered her eye lids and what MLC actually did was stand back out of the way like a good boy!

You and Letsgo are both wrong. Lea, the self appointed Pradopoint Greenie is actually a formidable negotiator!

My pleasure LGP. So you know, if it was Lea you would mention the discount and resuscitating road kill....

My Engine Saver low coolant alarm is now officially my favourite mod; after it saved me from catastrophe when I put a hole in the radiator whilst doing Madigans line across the Simson desert a week or so ago. It worked exactly as it should letting me know of the problem long before the engine had a chance to even get a degree hotter than normal.

I have absolutely no doubt that if I had not had the alarm I would have cooked the motor, and where it happend recovering a dead vehicle is verging on the impossible. It paid for itself a hundred times over and then some

                          One very happy customer.

                          Cheers Andrew

Hey AJ, I'd be interested to know (pics too) how you holed your radiator. The ARB bash plates provide good coverage so I am surprised.

Yes they do provide good coverage, but not perfect. the half moon cutouts that go around the tie down loops are the weak point, the fact that I cut my tie down points off when the Prado was 2 days old didn't help either.

Keep an eye on my Madigans trip report for the custom bashplate work I performed in the desert, also in my rig build shortly will be the new improved bashplate to hopefully stop this ever happening again.

In fairness to ARB it has to be said that we were pushing through some pretty ugly stuff, and the damage to the radiator was minor, but even minor leaks lead to major issues if not dealt with swiftly!

                              Pic of the Radiator damage

                              Cheers Andrew

I've been speaking to David Jones the owner of engine saver this morning and after taking some pictures measurements etc a kit for the 150 series D4D has been established.

He's a super helpful friendly guy and you couldn't fault his service.

If you wish to order an engine saver for a 150 you'll need to order the 200/76 series kit. I'm sure he'll steer people in the right direction now anyway.

Makes me feel pretty big and important sharing parts with the v8 diesel
