So, I went shopping with Derek at ABR Sidewinder and he has hooked me up with some new bits and pieces, I also have a Tekonsha P3 on its way, I plan on doing the ashtray install.
I have been doing some reading both here and MySwag about my current mod list, both Tekonsha and camper wiring, but I need to know how to test if my 120 has had the "Hotwire" installed to the trailer plug.
In addition to the brake controller, I am setting up ready for a new camper (yet to be purchased) and would like to have the ability to charge the camper (already have the rear Anderson installed, tested and working), but I want to be able to run the fridge on 12v whilst driving. I believe this should not be done via the single Anderson connection.
Currently I have, 100Ah Gel aux battery, Projecta 100amp smart solenoid, 100amp and 30amp circuit breakers on the aux battery, 30amp at the rear to run fridge in car and some other bits, hooked up to 6 way powered fuse block.
I also have 6B&S cable running directly from my aux battery to the rear Anderson.
What else do I need.. Do I need to run more cable, front to rear?
If the Hotwire does not exist, how do I wire one up, is the standard Toyota trailer plug compatible?
Soooo many questions.
