Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
My Altimator tells me that I am under water most of the time?? Lol
i only have a GXL, so mine doesn't have the altimeter.
The errors depend on where your altimeter gets its data from. If it's the GPS, the geometric altitude should be accurate to within a couple of metres most of the time. If it uses an uncompensated barometer, then it'll only show variation from sea level pressure.
Typical sea level pressure is about 1013hPa. For each hPa either side of that, you will get 30' change in your altimeter. So, if you,re sitting at the beach, and the atmospheric pressure is 1021hPa, your altimeter will read (1013-1021)x30= -240'.
If you're unlucky enough to be sitting on the WA coast where/if Narelle crosses, your altimeter would read about 2400'!

Mine still seems to be a bit dodgy (understatement?)
Between 15 and 30 it seems to kinda work but it was 40 here yesterday and it only read 30.
Its supposed to get to 45 today so see what happens, apart from my abject misery dealing with this heat!!!

Its at the front of the radiator on the centre part at front.
I tested mine and its fine, its unfortunately the display unit in the cabin that is the problem in mine and Im guessing everyone elses :-(
