Permanently mounting an amorphorous solar panel

Just come back from a quick (9 days) trip to Wagga Wagga. Camped in different places and had to leave the car in outdoor car parks. The cell kept up with the fridge at all times during the day, even when the car was parked in very hot conditions. Car inside temp was 48 deg, inside the fridge 2 deg.
Did a few offroad trips through northern NSW on the way down and no problems with the roof mounts.

Quick update on my panel. Still to build the pipe rack and the original bars i made are still holding the panel. Has done approx 20000 km and no movement or rattles. Just keeps on charging.
Went for a few more camping weekends and no battery problems even after not moving for 3 days, running the fridge and Codan.

Finally made the new rack for the solar panel. This keeps it low down to the roof. Less than 10 mm above the roof rails and have the ability to carry long pieces of wood or ladder.





Ready for our trip to Kakadu, Gibb River Rd to Broome and Tanami Desert Hwy.

Someone has to do it.

Great job on the new frame work for the panel Rusty.
I like the low profile look.
