A lot easier way would be to take the wires off the heated rear screen ( never gets used anyway) and join the wires to the work light. The switch is already on the dash and all the wiring is done. Thats how I did mine ,,works for me.

Here's a quick sketch

You could use a two way (on/off/on) switch for the rear light where one way it switches to the 12V feed to your relay and the other feeds to the switch feed to the relay - that way you can have the option to turn it on, let it switch with the reverse lights or have it off.Last edited by Trekrider; 30-05-2013, 01:14 PM.

Obviously the other option is to mount reverse light down low off the tow bar and work light off pole attached to spare bracket - a lot of extra work for the minimal chance of trouble with po-po

I can see it now, you have the rear light on when reversing and some idiot runs in the back of you because he was texting and didn't see you. He claims he was blinded by your light and all of a sudden it's your fault and your insurance company doesn't want to know as you have an illegal light fitted.Last edited by Trekrider; 30-05-2013, 02:10 PM.
