Hi there, I'm after some help. I've just fitted an ARB bull bar to my Prado 120 GXL. My problem is connecting the bull bar driving lights and indicators. The wiring loom on the bull bar has a square 3 pin connector, but I can't find a suitable connector on the car. There are a number of spare connectors around the headlight but none are the right shape. Any ideas?

Pancho I can't help you with this but just a word to the wise don't post the same question in multiple places. Someone will be along soon and give you some ideas.
If you are desperate try to pm Sam from ARB who is a PPer.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

I don't think the wiring loom with the bar is plug and play. You will need to cut the Toyota loom and splice it in, that's what ARB did when thy fitted mine. They used scotch locks so I had to redo it properly when I removed the bar to fix the other problems.

ARB list a lighting kit for the 120 bar in my quote, just a random thought but perhaps this was not correctly supplied as I think the sovereign bar Prados get a different kit?

Hey Pancho,
The wiring from the ARB parkers/indicators need to be spliced in from behind the headlight. This can either be done with scotch locks as Andrew said or you can do it properly and strip/solder them in.
When I fitted my bar, I was looking for a plug and play type option as well as I figured there would have been provisions in wiring for a sovereign bar - not the case apparently.
Out of interest - I found a pair of unused plugs (one either side) that run down into the vicinity of where the parkers / indicators would be on a sovereign bar but in looking at these with a test light they weren't for that.
Any thoughts on what these may be?Pitbull - 2003 4.0L V6 Prado Grande.

Just to clarify, I said ARB used scotch locks, I re did the job with solder and heat shrink. I would never use a scotch lock, horrible horrible things they are.

Guys I need to do this also to my Tigerz11 bar that I fitted 6 months back and totally forgot. I was going to splice and solder but then thought that would be a pain if I need to remove the bar? Should I use connectors or just cut the wires and re solder them if I ever need to take the bar off?
Do I just splice direct from the wires going into the headlight? Anyone know what colours the parkers and indicators are?
