Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. Drove from Perth to Newman last week. Filled up at Liberty on Gnangara Rd on my way. Got as far as 20kms south of Meeka when my Prado died. It started taking fuel from the 2nd tank a few minutes earlier after about 715ks had been done. Don't know if it's mechanical or electrical but the 90ltr light was on when she died. I managed to get some fuel from a mining mob a few ks away so got to Meeka & refuelled (though it took awhile as I had to dribble the diesel in). Now in Newman & will be driving back home next week (31st Oct) so am wondering if it's an easy fix or a dealer fix, in which case will have to be back in Perth. Incidentally, I found out there are no longer an RAC rep in Meekatharra, for those travelling in the area.

Hey Peril I may have asked this question before but cant remember ?? does the V6 also have this filter ?? Ive just had a look underneath but not exactly sure where its located (couldn't see anything around tailshaft area) and/or what it actually looks like.....Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. Do you have the 1kzte or the D4D motor?
The 2 motors have 2 different fuel transfer systems.
