Need another opinion guys cheers in advance

Have been using prado all week no dramas. Went to the gym yesterday, 2 hrs later jumped in and central locking not working, engine not turning over, etc. Jump started straight away and drove home

Took battery out and put in charger overnight, back in this morning and again not turning over

Obviously battery rooted and will buy another, is alternator likely to be stuffed as well? Don't know how battery would flatten from 100% charge in 2 hrs

Auto electrician is the source of your advice. Not here.

Sounds like the battery has dropped a cell. If you charge it up and measure the voltage, and then go back every hour and the voltage keeps dropping, then you have internal battery damage. If this isn't so, then there is an issue with the alternator.

With the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery, it should be around 14V. If it isn't, then a faulty alternator.
