    Re: Roof-console wiring

    Thanks for the photos guys,

Makes my job easier when I get around fitting up the console (when its ordered & delivered)

Running a dedicated power supply to the radio is cheap insurance also means can be hard wired off the ignition switch, but only onto the auxillary battery.
2008 GX turbo diesel auto 5sp Fitted: snorkel dual battery kit kaymar twin wheel carrier Evenutally fitted: Bullbar VHF & UHF radios, storage system Still to come: winning lotto number to pay the blessed thing off set of decent side steps/rock sliders

Too many projects so little time and even less money

      Hi,
For the people that installed a roof console with side airbags and ran a seprate positve cable, how did you run the positve down from the roof past the side airbags in the front side pillar trim??

Without the side airags, I presume you can take the trim off ok, but if you have side airbags it is still possible to remove the side pillar trim or will the airbags never go back in once the trim is off etc?
I presume I could use a piece of yellow-tongue but dont want to affect my airbag operation.

Also what size wire did you use, twin core 3.2mm?

      Cheers

          Thanks Harry,
Thats perfect, and exactly what I was after as I can see the trim can come away without affecting the airbags from those photos.
          Cheers
