Won't really know until I have it out in the bush...Yes it certainly is bright, no 2 ways about it at 2070 lumens. But having it mounted up nice and high on the roof it's not directly in your eyes. I have also bought for my awning led lighting, a wireless remote dimmer ($7), which I can plug in front of this light and dim the light if required. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250970753...ht_2829wt_13442004 V6 Grande. Nice work Craig!
I found this on Amazon, not LED though but all the work's been done. Maybe there is an LED bulb conversion?

Doesn't ship to Aus but should be able to use freight forwarders.
And then there's this big remote controlled momma

How strong is the magnet in simple terms? The link I posted is for a 36kg pull magnet. Yours is 25kg. Is it strong enough to hold itself off the side of the car without being knocked off easily, for example? I'm liking the idea of a flexible light and I would want to bring around to the side awning etc which is why I ask about it being mounted on a vertical surface.
Cheers

Perhaps this might do the trick?

The seller has just updated their website and the magnet rating has since change from 25kg to 20kg?
I had a play tonight and although the "20kg" rated magnet will certainly be fine for mounting the light on a vertical surface while parked, realistically with the weight of the light sticking out from the side of the car, I wouldnt be driving with it mounted in this position. On a horizontal surface? certainly no problem. If in doubt, go for the 35kg. I will road test my light tomorrow as I am doing a little trip and will mount it up on the roof and see if there is any movement.

Update.... Following an excursion yesterday which had the worklight mounted on the rear of the prado for the entire day, there was no movement whatsoever. Very happy with it even though I most likely wouldn't ordinarilly keep it mounted whilst off-roading but it is comforting to know that the magnet keeps the worklight firmly in situ through all sorts of terrain... The only terrain we didnt experience was heavy corrigations. Very happy indeed!

Having just got an email back from Kaymar quoting the prices for the rear door spare wheel spacer and extendable light pole kit, $122 and $204 respectively plus postage, I decided to try and track down an option I found a couple of months ago but can't seem to find again and simply hope that someone may have come across the same item and know where I can find the seller and/or listing for the item.
I found it listed on eBay. It was a bracket for the spare wheel which gave a 25mm spacing and had an arm extending straight up from the center with a mounting point for a rear work/reverse light. There was a second option which had a "V" at the top of the arm allowing for the mounting of two lights. It was made from squared tubular steel and priced at approximately $90 for the unit with the single light mount which also came with the longer high tensile bolts and all other bits and bobs for fitting.
I have exhausted all the possibilities I can think of on eBay and can only assume they are no longer or not currently listed. I am hopeing someone may know or at least know of the seller so I can get some deatails.
