Hi all,
I just thought I'd share with you a problem I had this weekend. I had just hooked up my brand new Coromal caravan and loaded up the family for a trip up to Crescent head for a week. Half way there I had the Check Engine light illuminate. I have a scangauge and it was showing error code P0622. I looked it up on the net and could find very little info on it. The engine went into protection mode and basically stopped putting charge to the battery. The NRMA thought it was a blown alternator. A call and tow to a local Toyota dealership later I found out that this code is caused by a blown fuse (under the drivers dashboard) and had to do with the wiring for the caravan. After a little trial and error, (and another fuse) I was able to work out that disconnecting the reverse wire (pin 2) on the standard 7 pin plug fixed the problem of fuses blowing as each time I selected reverse the fuse would blow.
I will be talking to the Coromal dealer on Monday to see what would possibly cause this obvious short in the van. Hope this helps someone if they get stuck on the side of the road with a full load of kids and van.
Cheers,
Sparksc
