Okay, sorted. Dealer rang me about something else, so I asked. Sensor control is on the menu selected on RHS of steering wheel controls. Simple, just turn off sensors.

I have genuine Toyota sensors with and it doesn't seem to bring on the sound even when I slide across the switch. I did notice a white connector that wasn't connected. Plugged them in and still not working. I've switched it to Hi and still no sound when i reverse into something.
Can anyone help as to what it may be?
Ive attached a picture of the connector that I re attached. What is it for?

After many years of putting up with that annoying noise silence is bliss.
My preference was to place a switch out of sight so I made a bracket that I attached with two M6 bolts. One existing M6 on the jack bracket and the other into a captive nut just above the first (see image from ntp).
$2.00 switch from Jay Car wired into the earth circuit found in the rear.
Cheers
