Thanks heaps Trekrider !!! This pic tells all I wanted to know about the space. Now I'm thinking I could go for the big 200A Redarc....
Have to wait for the approval of the reserve bank though...

does anyone have a photo of the off road down under tray, without a battery in it, installed or otherwise. The pics on their website don't seem to work, and the photo's of in the dual battery install thread aren't there either.

          Does Opposite Lock sell them?
          Cheers

You can get them from here:

            http://www.offroaddownunder.com.au/default.htm

I don't think you can get them in OL.

I was hoping I didn't need to drill any mounting holes but the web site is saying you have to drill 2 holes. Anyone want to clear that up for me please.

Yup, need to drill two holes for the top of the side panel, not a big issue, just make sure you paint the raw metal and let it dry before putting in the bolts.
I'll admit, I was nervous drilling into the car, but had this tray installed for ages now, no issues..

I emailed them about this a little while ago and the lady who responsded said they tried to design it without having to drill holes but found that it wasn't sturdy enough.

About to get one of these myself.

I got a Offroad Downunder batt tray for my b'day which arrived today. The trays are now powder coated which look the goods (not that it'll be seen once the Batt is installed) Probably took me 3 hrs to install from whoa to go... Biggest challenge was getting the hand up inside the guard to fasten the nyloc nuts.

                              Here's the new look tray

Power Steering bracket modified and relocated to make way for the tray...

Another view of the relocated Power Steering reservoir

The kit provide by Offroad Downunder also comes with some convoluted tubing and cable ties to protect and secure the power steering hoses. Not sure if I'm happy with the final location of the hoses yet, but I've insured that they are protected and free from any chaffing on anything...

Next task will be to decide where and how to fit my Redarc SBI12 isolator and associated protection. then run power to the rear of the car (might need to decide on what battery to go for too... hearts set on a Fullriver DC 105-12 AGM Battery at the moment...)

Craig I have run Fullriver AGMs, albeit 120Ah size, for about 6 years now and can recommend them. Springers usually do some good deals. Sniff around the Internet and then hit them up with the best price you found.
