Check out MAv's build up his headrests (after market I think) have the players built in and match the seat material

The ones I fitted are the same as Samo's but the grey colour. Matches the vinyl of my 95s nearly perfectly.

Re: headrest dvd players, thoughts and experiences

A few people commented on car DVD system in the thread about the factory sound system. We noticed the problem of the DVD player turning it self on get progressively worse. It was rare and we though our son was turning on the player - we have a family rule that you can't watch the DVD unless the trip is over an hour long. Once we turned it off, it seemed to stay off for the remainder of the trip (key start). It got to the point where we couldn't turn it off, with in a second or two it would power up again.

put a remote switch in the front to shut power off when required or to turn on, these dvd players are powered off my 2nd battery so it soesnt matter if ignition is turned on or off or car is started. These run independent to the factory system. cheers samo

I have a switch on the centre console (view my build up) and it is powered from the chagring circuit to the 75amp hr thumper in the back, so when the ignition is on there is power or if the thumper is plugged in it can be powered all the time, saves the main and dual battery. My rear work light is the same.

Re: headrest dvd players, thoughts and experiences

I went out on a limb and spent some serious coin on a set of HiTv Dual Master in-built headrests for the new Rig. Kids love them, though will take the advice from previous posts to hook up onto a second power supply once the dual battery system gets fitted. By the way a set of HiTV DVD infra red headrests installed will set you back about $2300.

Possibly looking at getting a set of headrests to keep the squids quite (instead of the bloody fighting). How strong are these in terms of the pegs in comparison to the originals. I was looking at a few on Sunday on fleabay and noticed that the pegs/poles are adjustable to suit different vehciles and it got me wondering about the strength. Not that I'm anticipating being in an accident but just curious on peoples thoughts in relation to the strength of the fleabbay after market headrests.
