    Hi Graig,

I'm about to contact Matt in regards to the same HID kit for a set of IPF900XS, how are they working for you? have you had any issues with them?

    Thanks.

Update - Contacted Matt and he has sold the business. I'll need to find some other provider.

        LT1979,
I used virtual daylights kits in my IPF's
        There website is here. http://www.ultraauto.com.au/index.html
Dowloand their catalog, the kits are in there.
Ask to speak to Owen and he will look after you.
They have true 35w, 55w and 70w kits that will fit the IPF's
        Cheers
        Robert

I believe Matt has sold his business Thumpa inc to a bloke who I think is still a vendor on Pootrol4x4 Forum. The other option is to have a look at http://www.newpro-tech.com.au/ They have all the upgrade kits and switches etc available.
Been very happy with the HID upgrades. Currently running 2 x Pencil Beams, but until I have funds and the right size LED Bar and suitable location, will go back to 1 x spread, 1 x Pencil as I prefer the sides of the road to be lit up more. I did have one ballast blow due to the bulb dislodging over severe corrugations and causing a short. Thankfully this was replaced free of charge by Matt.

Thoroughly recommend this upgrade to anyone who's currently running halogens and thinking of upgrading to HID's. For $185 for the 55W & $230 for the 70W, (Newtech prices) you can't go wrong!

Hi All, Just looked at http://www.newpro-tech.com.au/C55wHIDspot.htm and their prices for HID kits are $199.95, how did you get them for $185?
Also would 2 spread beams work well? (assuming IPF 900XS) as 55w HID should give off enough light to provide penetration.

OME Suspension, GME UHF, Alpine Stereo.
Rear Spoiler, Hilux bonnet scoop. Hilux Washer Jets.
              ....... more to come .......

Yeah, $199 is what I paid. I have 2 spread beams but I'll let you know when I install them next weekend.

I have a pair of IPF 900XS spotties to convert. Does anyone have recent experience with the NewPro kits or any of the eBay offerings? I used to see the ones from eBay seller 95Soarer getting recommended but from other posts on here seems his customer service is somewhat lacking these days.

Reckon I will contact him once the exhaust, chip and other projects are done. May as well do the headlights and IPF extremes all in one go. For the record, I am lead to believe that because the Grande has self levelling suspension the HID headlights are legal!!!!! Hope this is correct.....
                    Not legal without headlight washers.
I took mine over the pits and it was easier to remove them.
Even with washers they said they would study to see if the vehicle was released into Au with hid originally.

                      HID upgrades for IPF lights

We use heaps of cheap eBay kits on the racecars.
Surprisingly some of them last longer than the big dollar Philips kits etc.

Mine in my converted hella 4000's are going into their 5th year.

Only swap i have done was to remove the 6000k back to 4300 as it suits highway and off road a lot better. 6000k hides potholes and rocks.

I'm told 4300K is closest to the normal colour of the Prado headlights. The HID high beams on the Kaka give out more light than the factory halogen globes on the IPFs.
